Who for 2b and MI positions? Whir.

Postby tah161 » Fri Apr 03, 2009 2:06 pm

Right now, I currently have Freddy Sanchez and Kazuo Matsui occupying my 2b and MI slots.

I feel I can upgrade but am not totally sure.

Kazuo will add steals but Freddy wont add much except average (and even thats not gurantee)

Anyways, some notables on the WW:

Asdrubel Cabrera (definetly thinking of picking him and dropping Freddy)
Renteria
Alexi Cassila
Brandon Wood
Chris Getz
Barmes
Greene
Punto

Any of these options better than my current?

Thanks, and as always WHIR.

Im assuming it's 5x5?

Either way, Cabrera is the appropriate add. He's hitting in a stacked lineup and has proven to be a patient hitter already. My projections for him are 75-10-65-10-.275. Sanchez is a 1-tool player whos' value is inflated because of one monstrous season (when Bay was tearing the cover off the ball). He's at best a bench player/spot starter. But since he's a career .358 vs. lefties he does still hold some value, but not worth gambling over Cabreras upside. Keep an eye on Wood as well.

out of those names i like Greene over Sanchez.
Tony LaRussa even said Greene could see time at cleanup hitter behind Pujols. hes going to hit some good HR, but the AVG might not be there.
i would drop Sanchez for Greene. the other names dont really impress me more than Matsui.

help?
