I'm stumped. I've got the seventh pick in 10 team, normal categories league. Definitely gone by my pick are RJ, Vlad, Soriano, ARod, and Bonds.

I'm thinking about Pujols, Giambi, or Pedro.
If I take a hitter my first option would be Pujols, then Giambi.
If I take Pedro then I can get Mags/Berkman/Manny/Helton caliber player with my next pick.

What do you suggest?

Or more simply, should I take basically Pedro and Manny or Pujols and Zito?

Pujols and Zito. Less injury risk. If Zito is still available then.

Pujols!

How can you go wrong? He'll be the best 1B, 3B, OF available for you, no matter what direction your draft takes, you've got 1 of 3 positions already covered.

:-B What about Giambi. He plays in a ballpark built for him. Around a team that is two years removed from a trophy that they believe belongs to them. And in Division that is ranked last. An awful division with only two teams. The fact the the AL central suck's also only feeds the fact that the AL is inferior to the NL this year. that means the best team 160 mill can buy should just have overly inflated stats.
My Gut says Pujols, but Giambi has a year of "New York" under him and it will be just about time for him to take over. All mental signs point to Giambi. :-B

Pujols! He gives you Outstanding multi-position flexibility, and pitchers are more likely to hurt you with injuries. Pujols carried me to a title in 5x5 roto last year, mostly because his flexibility helped me over come injuries.

I'd take Schilling over Pedro due to the injury risk.

I'd take Schilling over Pujols.

Pujols/Pedro is a toss up to me. I like Pujols a bit better than Giambi, mostly 'cuz there are lots of good 1Bs but fewer good 3Bs. Even if a good 3B is available later, you can just move Pujols to first if you want. If you take Giambi up front, then a guy like Helton or Thome slides into your lap later, and you really want them, you've got a bit of a headache.
