Howard, Ramirez, Roberts, Amaris. This gives you coverage of positions without reaching too early for players. I also wouldn't draft a pitcher in those early rounds. Better values can be found later.

In the end you simply cant pass on Howard even though there's some good value later in the draft that you could use at UTIL. The roster jam is a bit of a pain in the ass but you pretty much have HR's and RBi's covered with Howard and Morneau. Now you just need to draft speed (which is covered nicely with Roberts, Kemp and Alexi) and pitching.

I have the 9th pick in a snake draft. Pick #9, #18, #35, #44
If the following are on the board, who do you draft in the round?
1st- Santana - yes if there Howard - yes if there Crawford - too early Beltran - "" Holliday - ""
2nd- Berkman - yes if there Ramirez - "" Lee - "" Ichiro - not abeliever this year Abreu - WAYYYY too early Webb - if you went batter 1st round
3rd- Ad. Gonzalez - a tad early but yes Roberts - yes Chipper - still too early for such a injury risk Ordonez -too early Soria - love this guy but too early for closers, there are decent options real late (hanrahan, capps, francisco, etc.)
4th- Beckett - just my approach, but if i go P in early orunds i wait til much later to grab more..keep loading up on bats S. Drew - too early Aramis - yes Bruce - too early Dye - if you need power but he's more of a 5th rounder in 13-teamers
