Berkman should, in theory, be able to land any pitcher not named Santana, Lincecum, or Sabathia.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
i would say the for sures not to get would be Lincecum, Santana, Sabathia, Halladay, Webb. Hamels is someone you likely wouldnt be able to get, but because Hamels had an issue with his arm maybe you could get him? i think Hamels could be a risk in 2009 because he pitched ALOT of innings in 2008. you could get Oswalt, Shields, maybe Liriano. those 3 could be good for Berkman. Berkman's injury could effect his value, but he is one of the top tier 1B. his HR were down in 208 but he had 34 in 2007. should/could be 100+ in both R and RBI with a .300+ AVG plus he offers some steals. i wouldnt count on 18 again, but around 10 is likely.
