It's tough to gauge a 10 team league - but I like the Cantu and Carp picks.

Cantu gets no respect but he will be hitting cleanup behind a run scoring machine in Hanley and he is 27 years old with two high 20's homer years under his belt. He has a solid, balanced, short, quick, swing. .280, 30 bombs, and 110 RBI is not out of the question at all.

Carp is a steal as a number three - provided he pitches of course.

Slowey also - increasing K/BB ratio - he's looking like the prospect we've heard about.

McLouth and Holliday - I dislike them. Your weakness is in speed - you need to trade for a true speedster.

Cut Reynolds and pick up Helton - Helton is showing his old bat speed and has 4 homers in 33 AB's while hitting over .500 this spring.

Yeah, but I like your AVG/Run and Power categories and while speed is your glaring weakness, you may consider punting steals altogether. Unless you could somehow convince the Markakis/Rios/couple others owner to trade for McLouth, then I think you stay put. You're well set in everything BUT speed. My point, don't sacrifice a downgrade in 2-3 cats for a speed upgrade that may net you 1 extra steal per week (2 a couple weeks).

I think you drafted a great team. Steals are a problem, but that's only one cat and you look dominant in everything else.

One concern though, is that you didn't draft too many guys with upside. Maybe that's why you were able to acquire so much front end talent though, because the rest of your league was doing that, but it could be a problem if guys you expect to produce similar numbers to years past regress.

Overall you drafted really well, and it your offense sure looks stacked on paper.

Take a look at mine if you get a chance viewtopic.php?f=29&t=375904

I know it is all what you think of the situation, but if I were you, I would start considering trying to get a decent #2 catcher. maybe look into Wieters now and stash him while he is in the minors. Doubtful he is available on the waiver wire, but you never know in 10 team. if not, probably not a huge price tag w/ him in the minors for a month or so.

take a look at mine please,

Thx for replies all. I thought I might be able to scrounge enough steals out of Damon, McClouth, and Holliday who all had more than 23 last year. As well as Utley and Reynolds in the 10 - 15 range. Basically I was going to wait for an injury and try to pick up a speedy guy sitting on waivers. Maybe a Brett Gardiner?
