I posted that i needed a RP, and this is what i got. I don't know about anyone else but i do not trust BJ as far as i can throw him. His velocity is WAY down, and he is still hurting. I know cruz isn't the best OF, but he has tremendous upside and is batting in one of the most if not the most potent line ups, needless to say i declined the trade. Was this a good move?
It depends. If your OF is deep and closers are hard to come by in your league and it's a Roto league, then yes I can see making this trade. Otherwise, I say no. There's just too much concern floating around Ryan right now.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Oh eya sorry, i'm in a 5X5 h2h 12 team keeper league. My OF is not deep at all i have Hamilton, Cruz, Gomez, Nady, Spilborghs, Thames, dan Murphy, Ross, Schumaker, jordan Schafer, and Micah Hoffpauir. I have a lot of young guys in Schumaker, Schafer and Hoffpauir who have some upside but are obviously not proven. And in RP i only have Motte, Balfour, Lindstrom, the rest ar SPs
H2H I probably would not. You might turn out to be in good shape with Motte and Lindstrom. I would continue scouring the WW. Keep an eye on a guy like Perry. I don't usually like to pay for closers in H2H and definitely not one like Ryan who comes with a lot of uncertainty.

Yea I think i am going to stick with lindstrom and Motte! Other than those two i don't think i'll make any moves to get one, only scour the WW as you said. And if/when one comes up i'll drop one of my numerous OF or positional bench players.
Here is my roster, My obivous weaknesses are OF and pitching. I am hoping to fill out my batters so that i have no bench spots and do not have to worry about benching or starting players everyday, but to do that i'll need to get better bats. What do you think is my next best move to improve my team?

No way would I do that deal. He is just trying to get anything he can for Ryan while his name is still good. RP is always a bit tricky, if you keep a close eye on changes and injury you will be competitive in a month or so and 2~3 months you could be winning that cat every week. You don't need to go trade for one.
