Gettin the most out of Werth

Postby espnsportsfan » Fri Apr 03, 2009 1:56 am

I have an owner in my league who is infatuated with my Werth, how does this deal sound. This owner also happens to need a third baseman pretty badly.

Phillips, Werth, Kouz, Jordan Zimmermann for Pedroia, Markakis, Wieters, Jurrjens

Think i can pull it off?

It could work if he has prospect fever over Zimmerman as well.

Ridiculous deal, if your getting that for Werth, then I would do it in a heartbeat. Pedroia is the best player in the deal, with a nice compliment in Markakis.

No, I don't think you can pull it off but kudos if you do. :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

do you want Pedroa over Phillips?
id rather have Phillips. i think last year was Pedroia ceiling and wouldnt expect anything better. Pedroa is probually 15/15 with .300+ AVG and 100+ R batting leadoff. i expect Phillips to return to what he did in 2007.
id rather try Werth/Kouzmanoff/Zimmerman for Markakis/Weinters/Jurrjens.
sell up what Zimmerman and Kouzmanoff are doing in spring training.

help?
