Colby Rasmus and David Freese make the Cards...

What do all of you Cards fans think about both Rasmus and Freese making the team out of camp?? I know that Freese has taken over for Glaus at 3B, at least while he's injured. He had some very impressive numbers last year in AAA and had a very nice spring. What do you think of him long term with the team (especially once Brett Wallace is ready to come up and play)??

As for Rasmus, he's been the top prospect in the system for the past couple of years and looks like the real deal. I know the Cards OF is stacked but I think as good of a prospect as he is, La Russa has to find a way to get him in the lineup. Do any of you think he could be a contender this year for NL Rookie of the Year?? I think it will be either him or perhaps Cameron Maybin of the Marlins. Let me know what you all think.

Hate for Duncan?? I must have missed that one. Last I knew a friend of mine in one of my leagues told me that Duncan is going to hit cleanup, right behind Pujols and in front of Ryan Ludwick. I don't think that constitutes a manager hating someone if he's going to be the teams' cleanup hitter (at least to start off the year anyway). Explain to me why La Russa "hates" Chris Duncan please.

I'm a Cardinals fan and I'll have to say I'm not overly excited about either one of them this year. Rasmus will probably be real streaky this year ala' Jay Bruce and I expect much of the same from Freese. I hope I get pleasantly suprised but there are very few first year big-leagers that can sustain success over the course of the entire season. Once the pitchers find the holes in their collective swings the large learning curve begins.

With that being said I hope they both kick some serious ass this year!

I guess I'm in the camp of if he's that good of a prospect, why have him make the team if there isn't room for him to play right now?? I would think he might be better off getting regular ab's in Memphis than sitting on the bench in St. Louis, wouldn't you agree?? It's better for his development I would think if he's as much of a "can't miss" prospect as people say he is.
