If Giambi plays as he has so far, this looks pretty fair. If, however, he suddenly decides to meet pre-season expectations, you'll get the better end of the deal.

I'd call this roughly even, although I think you should only make this trade if you won't miss Wood too much. Replacing Giambi with Cox hurts; replacing Wood with Trachsel hurts a lot.
