trying to upgrade my pitching, and with this trade I am pinning my SS stats on Lowrie. Am I hoping for too much??
Assuming he pans out, would this be a good trade??
thanks,
Glenn

I don't like it. Sanchez should be much better than expected in that nice big park in SF; I like him to cut off at least one run of ERA while keeping the K per inning pace.

Only negative with him is being the 5th starter. I have a few of them right now unfortunately, and I think I would have to offer at least Sanchez to make the deal. His staff right now is Santana, K-Rod, pelfrey, perez, Josh, Kuroda, Wellemeyer, Guthrie and Fuentes.
True, but if he outperforms Zito which is likely then he will be on the receiving end of more opportunities. There's really nothing in that group of his pitchers where I would do the deal.

In other words Zito becomes #5... could happen, which would be nice
Johnson was the only one I was after. I made a mistake (?) and picked Floyd in the 5th round instead of him.
