I did already know that but I think you're missing my point.
Everyone knew he'd have a good year but what I meant is that he's going to be in a prime spot in the order in Texas (a hitters park) and he's also going to be given a chance to play unincumbered (sp ?).
In NY he'd have been down in the order and probably not given the green light whenever he wanted (still have a good year but not like he will in Texas)

Alfonso Soriano went 2-for-3 with two RBI today against the Giants.
Soriano is 7-for-16 so far, though he has just one double and no homers. "He's seeing the ball extremely well right now," manager Buck Showalter said. "We're working with him to turn on a ball a bit more."
i wish he was hitting with alittle more power

after what happened to him in the playoffs, i wouldnt surprise me if he was just attempting to make contact with the ball, to make sure he still knows how to hit. i highly doubt hes putting all hes got into his swings, nor is he trying to hit home runs. YET. once his confidence returns, the power numbers will come rolling in. im pretty sure this is the case, and it shows a few things. first of all, soriano is still learning and wants to be a better hitter. and also, it shows that hes not totally focused on the long ball, which can devastate players averages.
theyre coming.....

The more I think about it, I might make it a priority to get Soriano in my al auction league. 2nd base is so weak and he could do some really amazing things. H
