Upton/Furcal is better value because Upton is a top player and while Votto has the potential to reach that level, the other two pieces on his side aren't very good.

As much as I really like Votto, Upton/Furcal is the much better end of this deal. Elite OF and an SS that could be elite if he stayed healthy(gulp).
