WHo to draft at #5

I am in a 12 team league and I have the fifth pick. I am assuming arod, pujols, and soriano will be gone. I have narrowed it down to either Helton (who may be gone) VLad or Beltran. I have jose reyes blaylock and patterson as protections, all with late round picks. Pitching is not as heavily weighted as hitting so I am going to take a hitter.

I'll be looking for Prior, Soriano, Vlad, or Helton.

I'd take Vlad or Beltran because they'll give you the extra push in stolen bases that Helton won't. It's easier to get high batting average guys in late rounds than stolen base fiends.

Personally, I would take Helton. He put on 20 pounds over the off-season so that he doesn't wear down during the season. He wasn't too happy with his power #'s last year. If he's gone then Vlad would be a great choice. That Anaheim grass is gonna feel great on Vladamir's knees this season compared to the concrete of Olympic stadium in Montreal.

Personally, I would take Helton. He put on 20 pounds over the off-season so that he doesn't wear down during the season. He wasn't too happy with his power #'s last year.

I am hoping you are right since I will have Helton myself, but I thought that I heard he put on 20 pounds of fat.
