Denver handled this situation horribly. That being said, is Cutler really that good? My view is that Shanahan always had awesome linemen to protect his QBs and he is one of the best offensive strategists in the game today. I think if Cutler goes to a mediocre team then his value drops like a rock.

Too bad the Bears do not have a WR. Hester wont do the things for Cutler that Royal and Marshall did.

Bennett could be Royal-ish since he and Cutler have a great past together.

Hmmm they also signed Pace but is he the same? Bears still ahve a weak line and I think Cutler will have problems with less talent.

I think Cutler is that good. I hear commentators talking about him being "whiny" and that he should just "suck it up" as part of the business aspect of football, but I like how stubborn he was regarding the situation...I kind of respect it.

I always felt Cutler was the best QB out of that draft (better than V. Young and Leinart), so his success was no surprise to me. He can make all the throws and is surprisingly mobile...he also throws an accurate ball while scrambling. His swagger/aloofness/arrogance is something you want a top QB to have, so it really doesn't bother me.

Like any QB who is at his best when in the pocket with time, a solid offensive line is crucial for his success IMO.
