I'm all for understanding other cultural norms and taking things on their own level, but really, the Japanese are weird. It's an objective, F = m * a or e = MC^2 kind of thing.
Yeah, it's pretty tough to argue with those pictures and some of the other stuff I've seen. I've seen some of the crazy Japanese gameshows so I can't say I really disagree that a lot of it is pretty out there. I just didn't think the video from the OP was really something that would make me think "this is why the Japanese are weird". I've seen a lot weirder stuff than that come into my inbox from North America I guess is what I was trying to say.
