I took Escobar and Smoltz with my last two picks. Chomping at the bit.

We only have 2 bench spots in my league, and FAAB bids are due at 5pm today for week 1. Come on Smoltz, you still have 2.5 hours to get on the DL!

Smoltz on 15 day DL according to cbs...
The Boston Red Sox placed five players on the 15-day disabled list Saturday: SP John Smoltz (right shoulder surgery), OF Mark Kotsay (right elbow), SS Julio Lugo (right knee surgery), OF Jonathan Van Every (right ankle sprain) and RP Miguel Gonzalez (right elbow surgery). All moves were retroactive to March 27.
(Updated 04/04/2009).

this is who I'm waiting on. It sucks because Wang was dropped in the league a few days back and cleared waivers, but yesterday an owner grabbed him when Ichiro went on the DL. Duch and Smoltz are both FA still, so I'll probably end up grabbing one of them. Leaning toward Smoltz right now.
