Help me pick a SS

Postby boma » Thu Apr 02, 2009 4:51 pm

I currently have Burriss who seems to have the starting gig but should I replace him with any of the following players?
Bartlett, Elvis Andrus, Greene, Escobar or Guzman?

Or do I keep Burriss and his multi-position abilities and replace Freddy Sanchez with the players above or another 2b
like Felipe Lopez or Kazuo Matsui?

I'd stick with him for now. If he can bat around .280 with steals then he's a keeper.

Otherwise I'd look into Elvis Andrus or Guzman.

i'd keep him, but watch escobar. also, i would definitely drop sanchez for felipe lopez. lopez has more upside in my opinion.

Thanks for the help!
One owner just dropped Howie Kendrick for Jed Lowrie so hopefully I can get him off waivers replacing Sanchez at 2B.
As for SS I think I'll give Greene a try since no one is going to pickup Burriss when I drop him.
Thanks again

Felipe Lopez and Kendrick are close, but Lopez's power and speed are better.

Guzman is better than Burriss if you want batting average and runs instead of just stolen bases.
