Whats your thoughts on Joel for this year? has had a great spring so far 25 IP 1.44 ERA went into the 7th without allowing a run against the Marlins, retiring 12 straight at one point... has a potent Cardinals offense to back him, and you never hear his name anymore i remember this guy winning 16 games in '03 and hasn't come close to double digits since then, CBS has him battling with McClellan for the #5 spot, this a guy for a deep deep league worth a shot?

My league is a deep 14 teamer so waiver fodder is slim. I am keeping an eye on him. Duncan is the best pitching coach in baseball. He gets the most out of his pitchers thats for sure.

Duncan has gotten Piniero to throw his sinker. A good article here; I picked him up last night.

so any more thoughts on if this guy can finally put something back together? the 18 team league im in is BARE and this would be a huge addition if i could push 120Ks 9-11 wins and even if he has a high 3 low 4 ERA it would suffice... any more thoughts?
