I was offered these two trades in a 12 team H2H 10-Keeper League
6x6 scoring with HLDs and OPS added
Get Adam Dunn
Give John Lackey (leaning towards this one if any)
OR
Get Adam Dunn
Give Adam Wainwright
Here's my roster before my analysis:
C: Pablo Sandoval
1B: Mark Teixeira
2B: Jose Lopez
3B: Aramis Ramirez
SS: Jimmy Rollins
OF: Jason Bay
OF: Shane Victorino
OF: Andre Ethier
UTIL: Johnny Damon
BN: Brad Hawpe
SP: Chad Billingsley
SP:John Lackey
SP: Roy Oswalt
RP: Brian Fuentes
RP: Frank Francisco
P: JJ Putz
P: Hideki Okajima
BN: Adam Wainwright
BN: Josh Johnson
BN: Chris Carpenter
BN: Fausto Carmona
As you can see, I need a bit of power to back up Teix, so Dunn's 40 HR would be welcome. And I have SP to spare, which I have been shopping for some power, to little avail. But Dunn's horrible AVG is causing me to hesitate. Do you believe I can cover Dunn's BA, so should I just stand pat and look for something else?
Leave a link, I will get to it when I can. Thanks!!

I like trading Wainwright for Dunn's HR and RBI potential.

I would maybe see if he would throw in a pitcher in exchange for Hawpe or Damon.

I would trade Lackey for Dunn. I am a big Wainwright fan and think he will end up being a more valuable pitcher than Lackey. Not to mention Lackey is hurt. If you can deal with Dunn's batting average I would have no hesitation in making this move. He is one of the truely consistant players in the league (40 homers in each of the last 3 seasons.) Good luck!

Do the Lackey deal -- you don't want to have the injury baggage all year, and this is year two where Lackey is beginning the year on the DL. Dunn will be great for walks, HR, RBI and R... I like Wainwright too, so hang onto him IMO.
can u help?
