Disabled List question

Disabled List question

Postby shootrmcgavin » Wed Apr 01, 2009 4:08 pm

What does having a DL slot do? As far as I know it doesn't benefit your team in any way, so why not just have them ride the bench? Is there a way I can pick a temp player up while my guy is in the DL spot for whatever days he's marked at?

Basically, the DL spot allows you to protect a player while keeping your bench spots open. Another good use of the DL is to find guys who start the season injured.

It really depends on the make up of your league. Mine only has 5 bench spots and some of those get used by starting pitchers and others by guys that might pan out and might not.

After you put your guy on DL , you will open up a spot and you can add a FA. When your player comes off the real life DL, to put him back onto your active list you will have to drop a player.

good luck
