Another Lame First Round Question

In my non-keeper league, there is a mild weight towards pitching (1.25 points to 1 point for hitting). Starters contribute 5 points per week and offense contributes 7 points per week. In my draft position I am projecting Vlad and Schilling and don't know which to take considering the weighting of the pitching cats. By the way, OBP and TB are additional offensive cats added to traditional 5x5 systems.

I'd go with Vlad if he's still available when you pick. Soon after, yes, start picking up pitchers. But pitchers are so unpredicable and most play one out of 5 days as opposed to hitters. If you've got a chance for Vlad, get him. The top three pitchers (Arizona's duo and Pedro) have too much injury risk.
I realize that RJ hasn't been injured in a long time, but at his age it's a strong possibility. Look at Maddux last year. First time in the DL in... his life? Since his cubs days? And though he's still good, nobody considers him first round good anymore

i would also go with vlad, he is rated in the top3 in every rankings i have seen. you will be able to pick up a zito, mulder, maddux...some one like that in the 2nd round
