Trade is OK, but I'm not as high on the deal as others.

First off, you obviously lost a ton of SB. In a roto league, that's a big issue. Secondly, while you have guys like Gomez and Andrus to make up some of the loss, those guys will kill you in some of the other cats. You obviously gain some power, but it's so much easier to get power off the waiver wire than it is to get 60 SB AND production in all the other cats like Reyes will give you.

Personally, after second thought, I don't think I would have made this deal.

Just my .02.

Furcal helps soften the blow a little bit, but I don't think it softens it enough. In 581 AB's for the Dodgers in 2007, he only stole 25 bases. I expect him to be in that area again, IF he can stay healthy all year.

Sure you have the pieces to acquire someone like Crawford, but more than likely, the Crawford owner is going to want some power in return. In essence, putting you right back where you pretty much started.

Right now I have you projected for around 90 SB's or so, not considering Gomez and Andrus. Again, you can plug them in to help fill the void but they'll hurt you elsewhere. 90 SB isn't bad, but it isn't the 150 or so SB your starting lineup had before the trade. Again, you're gaining power but I don't know if the overall gain outweighs the loss of Reyes.
