I see nothing about an injury for K-Rod... he should DOMINANT in the NL withy the Mets - 40 plus saves is a given... please help - viewtopic.php?t=375480

His velocity and k potential seemed to be declining last year, but he still put it all together. I personally think he's going to get an injury this year after having such a workload last year, and being expected to carry the same if not greater this year with the Mets. But that's just me.

I wouldn't say to trade him because of YPNM issues, but I do think people are expecting more out of him than he will do. For that reason, I would bet you could find great value for him in a trade... if there's a hole in your team's stats somewhere, I wouldn't be surprised if someone was willing to overpay for him.

if u have krod chances are u burned a decent round pick on him, which i think is a mistake. i didnt draft any rp this year in my 10 team roto draft and by just paying attention to spring training and some of my favorite sites i was able to grab gregg and motte and ziegler. u can always get closers on the wire. if i were u i would look for a closer hungry team and try to move krod for help in another area for your team.

He doesn't have an injury currently (that I am aware of). The whole velocity story has been overblown IMO. Fangraphs has an interesting article on it. In September of last year he was averaging 94 mph and he has been hitting that in the WBC and ST, for what it's worth.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
