To me, Scherzer --- he plays for a team that could score runs if it learns to be patient. He has tremendous K-upside and so long as he is healthy, I think he will have a great year now that he has had a taste last year.
(1) Max Scherzer (ARI) - LOVE HIM (I drafted him) (2) Gil Meche (KC) - like him (solid) (3) Ubaldo Jimenez (COL) - like him (could be GREAT) (4) Manny Parra (MIL) - so so (too many walks) (5) Chris Volstad (FL) - so so (needs time) (6) Armando Galarraga (DET) - like him (he impresses me) (7) Jeremy Guthrie (BAL) - do not like (he's okay but I'm not sold)
Most upside: Scherzer (but injuries are a concern) On deck: Galarraga (solid but will never be GREAT) In the hole: Jimenez (his stuff is filthy)

(8) Trevor Cahill (OAK) (9) Jordan Zimmerman (WAS) (10) Jesse Litsch (TOR) (11) Tommy Hanson (ATL) (12) Andy Sonnanstine (TB) (13) Brett Anderson (OAK)
8) Trevor Cahill (OAK) - big upside but may need time (walks) (9) Jordan Zimmerman (WAS) - BEWARE of pitchers with good springs and no track record (10) Jesse Litsch (TOR) - average at best (11) Tommy Hanson (ATL) - a no-brainer - if stays healthy you'll hear about this guy for years (12) Andy Sonnanstine (TB) - average - what you see is what you get (13) Brett Anderson (OAK) - MAN CRUSH!!!
I like Scherzer the most out of that bunch as well, but after that, I would put it as... Meche Parra (think that the walks are going to be down a bit this year making him more valuable) Jimenez (home park always scares me) Guthrie (ah, if only the O's were a better squad) Volstad (needs more seasoning before I'm biting)
thanks for the thoughts on mine
Goodnight Ladies! GOODNIGHT SIR!!! Hit the lights sweetheart!
Maxi may do well, but he's very unproven. Doesn't he have a pitch limit?
I'd rather have an innings-eater like Meche. Both teams have bad run support, but Meche strikes out a ton of guys and is guaranteed to pitch a lot of innings.
Maxi on potential upside and Meche if I had to choose between the two.
