How can I work this trade(involving CC and Hamilton). WHIR

20 Team H2H 6x6(HLD&OBP)

The owner who has Josh Hamilton is looking to deal him. I want to win this year but build for the future at the same time(we kept 6 this year and we keep 12 next year). Trade I'm thinking of is my CC/Jeter/Dickerson/Lohse for his Hamilton/Young/Oswalt. He said he wants AVG and Pitching in a trade and he would get that. Does this trade have a chance to be accepted?


Only problem if the trade goes through is that the WW is slim pickings but I think I can still deal with the loss of CC/Lohse for Oswalt. I was thinking of either asking for McCutchen in the deal or picking up Willis, sliding him into 1 of my 4 DL spots then grabbing one of Andrew Miller, Tom Glavine, Erick Aybar, Bill Hall or Chad Tracy.

My hunch would be that it is rejected. But it really depends how he values CC and Hamilton, which are two players that seem to elicit a wide range of opinions. Based on the way I value them he's giving up value in Hamilton to CC and then Oswalt isn't really compensated for.

The other 3 players you are offering are scrap heap or end of their career guys. Quanity doesn't make up for quality.
