10 team H2H, 21 categories!!! Strategy Help Please!

Hi Gentlemen. This is my first season doing a head to head league, for 10 years I have participated in a Roto league, but long story short, that league no longer exists as of this year. I'm looking for some help on some strategy for this new league that I am in. It is a 10 team league, head 2 head scoring, redraft, money league. The categories are as follows:

Offensive:
R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, AVG

Pitching:
W, L, CG, SHO, SV, ER, HR, BB, K, ERA, WHIP

Our rosters have the following positions and can be changed daily.

Offense:

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util

Pitching:

SP, RP, RP, P, P

9 Bench spots and 1 DL spot.

With all of this being said, does anyone have any thoughts on the best way to tackle this league? Personally, I hate the format, but it is with my buddies and I want to stay involved. Also, any thoughts for tweaking this league would be greatly appreciated. The commish is open to suggestions on changing the settings. Thank you!

The best change you can make.... get rid of about HALF of those ridiculous categories. There are so many that it completely dilutes the league. Only newbies ever get that carried away when setting up a league!

Great post. It is a newbie commish, and I told him the exact same thing. Any other thoughts?
