Buchholz or Rasmus for last spot?

Postby EvSolo » Tue Mar 31, 2009 6:01 pm

I have an open spot in my keeper league and wanted to add an upside guy. Its not that deep which is why they are out there. 5x5 keeper league with a 1250 IP limit.

Roster
C R Hernandez
1b P Fielder
2b K Johnson
3b C Davis
SS Han Ramirez
OF C Lee
OF N Markakis
OF Crawford
Util Ethier
Bench: Beltre, Crisp, Wieters

SP: Oswalt, Felix, Cain, R Johsnon, Parra, Price
RP: Soria, F Francisco, Hanrahan, Arredondo

Thanks in advance

I'd go with Rasmus. He isn't expected to play full time but it's not like Chris Duncan is any good and shouldn't hold him off for long. He has a good chance to end up in the current Hart, Ellsbury, Victorino, and McLouth level class in drafts in the future and we'll see about higher when he faces MLB pitching.

Buchholz is going to be a super star. I like him best. He will put it together.

But, if I had to pick right now, it'd be Rasmus. He's got all the tools and Duncan can't keep up for long. He'll be an everyday guy soon enough.

With your team, assuming you have one bench spot open now, I say drop Crisp and pick them both up. With your OF, Crisp isn't going to play much. If the worst happens and someone gets injured, you can scramble from there.
