It all depends on your team, if you want a specialist, someone who can singlehandedly help tremendous amounts in one category definitely take Taveras, but if you want someone with a chance to be a 5-cat contributor, a riskier pick, take Maybin.

I'd be leaning toward Taveras in a Roto league but as Jags said, it'd depend on your roster.
