Who's better for this year?

Postby L-Dawg » Tue Mar 31, 2009 10:50 am

H2H points league, 10-Team Standard scoring

I'm wondering who you'd rather have this year, Chipper Jones or Adrian Beltre. Chipper is pretty injury prone, but dang good when he's in there. I have Edwin Encarnacion I could play when he goes down. Beltre is in a contract year and the last time that happened he had a monster year. So who is it, Chipper or Beltre? WHIR, thanks.

Jones for sure. Even with ~450 AB he's likely to match a full Beltre season and the BA should be far better.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

You want Chipper as long as you have a decent backup for when he is injured. Encarnacion works for that role. ;-D
