Baez 41 saves for an AWFUL TB team in 05
Chad Cordero 47 saves for the Nats in 05 as well and 37 in 07

saves can come form bad teams and good teams the same..good teams might get less chances if they are blowing out a lot of people and bad teams might get more because their wins might tend to be tight

Ive never worried about what teams they come from and always do pretty well in saves

I've preached this exact same thing on numurous occasions. In fact I almost prefer my closers come from losing/mediocre teams for this very reason.

Identical concept for kickers in football. I prefer a kicker on a losing team, they won't get into the endzone as often and he'll have more opportunity.

it has been proven year in and year out that the quality of the team does not affect the number of save chances.
