Ladies and gentleman...FBUK is B-A-C-K! We are delighted to announce that Fantasy Baseball UK, presented by baseballsoftballuk.com, is back again for its SIXTH exciting season. Whether or not you were involved in 2008, we'd be delighted if you'd like to join us again for another year of fantastic fantasy baseball play!
Coming off another great season last year, in which we had over
4,000 teams involved, we're bringing the game back to you this season having worked hard over the preseason break towards making sure that this is still the best fantasy baseball game this side of the Atlantic - and it's still
100% completely free, too!
Just pop over to
http://www.fantasybaseballuk.com to register yourself with some simple details, or to re-activate your registration from when you played last year, and you'll be able to sign up and enter a fantasy team absolutely FREE. The site is open for team registration NOW, so you can navigate the site and get familiar with what's going on, and start putting together your initial rosters.
If just one fantasy team just isn't enough action for you, you're welcome to register further additional teams for just £4.99, per team, for the entire season. Simply click on the link on the front page of the site, and you can pay for as many extra teams as you like via a simple and secure PayPal page.
As was the case last year, the Fantasy Baseball season will start at the same time as the regular season - so you'll have a week to fiddle with your roster and get some serious baseball research done. The first two weeks of the season will be a "practice" period to give new and less experienced players some time to get to know the new and old features of the site, and to give the guys on Five an extra month to get the word out and promote the game. Think of it as an extended Spring Training - after that initial month (which flies by, I can tell you!) the numbers will be for real, and you'll be playing for big prizes.
As was the case last year, you'll be able to enter your Fantasy teams into a specific division. There are 30 divisions, corresponding to the 30 MLB teams (e.g Yankees Division, Braves Division, etc). You can choose to enter your team in any division. You might choose to enter the division that relates to your favourite team, your least favourite team (so you can enjoy sweet victory over their managers!), or perhaps select a league that a group of friends join together.
Any questions or sign-up problems, shoot an email to
webmaster@fantasybaseballuk.com and we'd be glad to help.
