Webb for McLouth and more...whir

Postby TeamMikeDeveraux » Mon Mar 30, 2009 10:45 pm

Hey guys,
I am looking to upgrade SP and I have a very good OF. This trade is being talked about:

Give: McLouth OR Hart AND Chen Mein Wang
Get: Webb OR Liriano AND Shin Soo Choo

Couple of questions:
1. Who should I look to deal...McLouth or Corey Hart...I like Hart this season and I feel like McLouth may have more value
2. He also has Liriano. Should I target him instead of webb
3. Is this downgrading my OF too much? I know people are very high on Choo this year and he might be a steal.
Any and all help is very appreciated. Roster below

12Team H2H 5x5 non-keeper
C Ianetta
1B Votto
2B Utley
3B Jorge Cantu (1B/3B)
SS Tulo
IF Mark DeRosa (2B/3B/OF)
OF Holliday, Markakis, McLouth, Hart
Util Loney
BN Spillborghs

SP Timmay Lincecum, Edinson Volquez, Bedard
RP Matt Capps, Heath Bell
P Chen Mien Wang, Ubaldo Jimenez, Gregg, Kershaw
BN Pelfrey
BN Jason Motte

idrpobably do it with hart and get webb... that would give you 2 of the top 5 SPs and u wouldnt lose THAT much from hart to choo.. plus spilbourghs may break out this year too!

I personally like Hart more than I like McLouth. Hart is one a much more potent team, and has a slightly better track record. If you were to target a SP, it must be Webb. Liriano is too risky. It's a pretty risky move downgrading your OF because I'm not so sure about the situation with that Spilgbourgh guy. I personally would trade McLouth and Wang for Webb and Choo. Hopefully Choo or Ryan breaks out. Webb will be a sure-fire beast.

help me?

Thanks for the help so far. I agree that if I am going to take this OF hit, I need to get Webb back. I think Hart is very undervalued and might be better than McLouth this year anyways. I just really hope that all of these people praising choo are right because it will be a significant downgrade to my offense.

Anyone else like or dislike this deal for me?
