I am going to visit a friend in June in Richmond, VA. I've never been to the East Coast (Cleveland is as far east as I've gone). I am flying out there with another friend of mine and we are both huge baseball fans. After a week in Richmond, we plan on spending the next week driving up the coast and visiting as many cities as possible and plan on catching some games in these towns.
We are thinking of visiting our friend who lives in Brooklyn and even want to go north to Boston. Fenway Park would be a dream for me to visit, so I figure I should go there if I am that close sine I never get out there.
I'm sure most, if not all the games are already sold out and was wondering what some of the locals do to get their hands on tickets. I wold still like to keep my costs down, but know I may have to pay a premium for tickets.
Places we are thinking of catching a game: Philly Baltimore NY (Mets or Yanks) Boston
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...
Really the only way to get Sox tickets are to know someone who has them. Otherwise you have to overpay on sites like StubHub or Ace Ticket, a local agency.

Not true. They reserve a small number (about 150 - 200) of tickets for day-of-game sales. If you show up to the park 2+ hrs beforehand and are willing to wait in line, you can get seats at face.
Not sure when you're going but the Mets basically always have tickets (as do generally the Yankees). Not sure how they'll be with the new stadiums, but I would expect availability.
If you're coming in the middle of the summer, though, forget them both and go to the Brooklyn Cyclones!
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
Craigslist is also a way to grab tickets, you just must be very careful since it's a 1 on 1 transaction, but I did grab 2 tickets to a Braves game off there last week
