Please Analyze my Team. I need help!

Postby btlsooner » Mon Mar 30, 2009 9:29 pm

I'm in a 10 team league on ESPN. It's head to head and it's a 5 player keeper that we just started this year. Can anyone help me out in areas that I am lacking and any stats that I may need to trade for. What would you give me on a scale from 1-10?

C- McCann
1B- P. Fielder
2B- Pedrioa
SS- Tulowitzki
3B- Youk
OF G. Sizemore
OF B. Hawpe
OF- X Nady
OF- L. Milledge
UTIL- D. Ortiz
UTIL- Konerko
Bench - Jorge Cantu, Hideki Matsui, Troy Glaus

SP - J. Beckett, AJ Burnett, Kazmir, Rich Harden,
RP - F. Rod, Chad Qualls, Heath Bell, Mike Gonzalez, Scott Shields

What is this team lacking? What are some of my biggest needs and can this team compete?

Your offense looks pretty good, your infield is rock solid. I think Tulo will have a nice bounceback year, I missed out on him by one pick in my league. You are very shallow at starting pitcher, I've never been in an ESPN FB league so I don't know how many starting slots you've got but 4 SP's is not enough. Not to mention that Harden and Kazmir are injury prone, you can almost count on both of them missing time this season. Unless your league counts holds drop Scot Shields, he will be the setup man in LA once again and has little value at this point in time. List some of the FA starters in your league that you could pick up.

There are still some decent pitchers out there including Danks, Saunders etc...so you shouldn't have any trouble picking up a hot pitcher once the season starts. OF is a little weak compared to your infield, but your team should be alright for now. Try to look for early slumps of some high profile OFs and look for GMs to panic and see if you can snatch them up in trades.
