He's Back: Todd Helton!

Has anyone been paying attention to Todd Helton this spring? Finally had back surgery last year but he's hitting .515 with 4 hrs. He went 4-4 today as well. What do you guys think? Can he hold up the full season? :-?

Yeah, i picked him up in one league last week...he's had a very healthy and solid spring, but with his age getting up there, I'd be extremely surprised to see him get 450 AB's. Definitely worth a flier in deep/mixed leagues, and if he stays healthy and his power stroke continues, you're looking at 25 hr/.310+ value for very, very cheap (the guy's a career .328 hitter)... ;-D

He's a pretty nice flier in the late rounds, can put up better numbers than James Loney 7-10 rounds later. We'll see if he regains any power though, still not that likely.

He's just not reliable enough to invest in imo. His back and contract has turned him into the next Mike Sweeney. But I've always liked the guy so if he comes back strong, good for him but I doubt it.

If you don't have room, then you don't believe.

I like Helton; don't expect too much in the way of power but he'll be a solid play at CI.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Just make sure you trade him in april or may since I doubt the back holds up all year.
