Hoffman on DL, Villanueva in

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Hoffman is expected to miss about 4 weeks and Villanueva has been anointed as replacement closer. However its also been reported that Seth McClung or Cofey are also options (maybe even better).

Any idea if this injury is going to linger, an oblique strain can really been painful and is a culprit in fatigue. An who would be the better choice long term if a replacement is needed longer then 4 weeks Cofey, Villanueva, or McClung?

Looks like a typo, Rotoworld does not mention 4 weeks, but first 4 games...

Brewers placed RHP Trevor Hoffman on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 27, with a strained right oblique muscle.

Hoffman will miss at least the first four games of the season, with Carlos Villanueva likely serving as the Brewers' temporary closer. This is just the second time in 16 seasons that Hoffman has landed on the DL. Mar. 30 - 2:03 pm et

The likelihood is that Hoffman will be back in 2-3 weeks but you never know. That injury can be tricky and Hoffman will need some time to get back to full strength even after he resumes throwing. I say Villa will have the job for April.
