Edwin Encarnacion missed a week with a mystery shoulder problem, and is now slated for DHing.

News on exactly what this injury is is elusive to say the least. Anyone have any inkling what it is?
I'm finding this season the less they say the worse the injury is.

The only thing I found was Dusty saying he had been in the cages alot and they just wanted to rest him.

He was slated to play in a minor league game, it rained.

No mention of him hitting off a tee or getting an MRI - so far it looks like it was just a tweak and he is okay.

Nvm, just looked and he is in the lineup vs the yankees 2day.... batting 7th.

Encarnacion (shoulder) once again was the DH for the Reds on Monday, going 3-for-6 in a Triple-A game, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Recommendation: Encarnacion will probably get a couple of games in with the Triple-A squad, to ensure that the Reds have the flexibility to put him on the DL and backdate the move to limit the length of that DL stay.
