Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Greene for this season? Will he rebound in St. Louis. Will the move from Petco park increase his numbers?
I waited too long to pick a SS and got stuck with him in my points league. Now I am debating if I need to trade to upgrade. I am stacked at pitching and may be able to trade Soria for Peralta. BTW, Peralta was the #3 SS in this scoring system last season.
It's always hard to give reasonable advice in points leagues, due to the vast variety that exists, and what position types are assigned that value, but I think Khalil is going to receive a nice statistical boost getting out of Petco, and having players like Pujols and Ludwick around him. He is a legitimate SS sleeper.

Those seem somewhat reasonable though I'd probably downgrade the AVG to something like .260. I know he has hit .270 on the road in his career but he has poor plate discipline in general which supports the low career AVG. He is a poor man's Peralta/Hardy.

How come? The guy is a career .225 hitter at Petco park, and .270 in every other park with an .810 OPS. I don't see moving to a better park, with a better lineup, and expecting him to bat 10 points shy of what he's done on the Road for his career is complete optimism.
I believe the Cards are batting Greene lower in the order at 6th, meaning he's got Molina, the pitcher, than whoever is 9th for the Cards behind him. He'll have plenty of RBI opportunities, but with his low OBP and order position I'd expect about 10-15 less runs scored.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

Thanks for all the replies. I think I am going to wait it out with him. He was injured last season and is only 2 years removed from 27 hrs and almost 100 ribbies. The move away from Petco and into a better lineup can only help. I also see that he is hitting .447 in 38 at bats this spring. Sounds good to me.
