Is Ryan Spilborghs the real deal??

Somewhat OT, but do you see Spilborghs outproducing JD Drew this year?

I would guess yes (and to prove it Drew is an FA and I have Spilly on my team). But the main reason I would say yes is that Drew will probably be hurt again in no time. If they have the same number of AB I would expect Drew to have better power numbers but Spilborghs to beat him in BA, SB and runs with overall value being pretty close.

I was trying to decide which of the 2 between Spils or Fowler to have on my bench and chose Fowler for 2 reasons 1)the crazy upside and 2) more importantly if he gets on a hot streak his trade value will be similar to all young prospects ala Bruce last year. Spils trade value will never be high no matter what and if he's just gonna sit on your bench and not replace any of your current starters i would just roll the dice on Fowler and hope for the best.
Last year i turned Bruce + Zambrano to Beltran as an example of what may happen.

I'm real big on Spilborgh's potential this season, but I think the hype might be getting a little out of control. In one of my pay leagues, I was offered Clayton Kershaw for him, which I accepted within about half a second of seeing the offer in my Inbox.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen?

Well he's outplaying Clayton Kershaw so far.

IMO he's doing what you should expect. Somewhere around 15-24 hrs, 20 plus sb's, decent BA. Lots worse OF out there, but I don't expect much more from him.
