Do I trade for A-Rod now?

Postby Jimbo OZ » Mon Mar 30, 2009 6:42 am

This is a 6x6 (5x5+OPS+HLDS) H2H league and have been offered the following trade:

I get: A-Rod, Michael Young
I give: Matt Kemp, Ervin Santana

My team as it curretly stands is as follows:
C Dioner Navarro
1B Mark Teixeira
2B Chase Utley
3B Alex Gordon
SS Khalil Greene
CF Matt Kemp
OF Nick Markakis
OF Hunter Pence
Util Vernon Wells
BN Andre Ethier
SP Chad Billingsley
SP Ervin Santana
RP Matt Capps
RP Trevor Hoffman
P Brad Ziegler
P Brandon Lyon
BN Félix Hernández
BN Aaron Harang
BN Jordan Zimmermann
BN Manny Parra

If I complete the trade then Ethier comes into starting line-up, Gordon fills in for A-Rod until he is back, Greene heads to wire. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I would do the trade. Santana is prob. going to start on the DL also, so you are not loosing out there. I am high on Kemp, but Arod is still one of the best in the game and only out 1.5 months. Young is also a decent SS. He is getting older but will still get you good numbers.

Any other thoughts on this? I'm really thinking that in H2H the loss of time is not as important???

now is the time to trade ervin. he has a sprained elbow ligament and could require surgery at some point. im a proponent for having arod in most leagues, h2h especially so id do this trade.

Pull the trigger. Gordon is nice insurance or trade bait.
