They were right. Prior had a fine year in 2005. 166 IP, 188 Ks, 3.67 ERA to go with 11 wins. He was certainly a better choice than Wood.

The answer is.
He is in San Diego and working out with Mr. Strausburg
with rumors of Strausburg wanting up to 50 mil right away he will slip to no 3, be drafted by the Padres for a hometown discount of 300k (otherwise the Pads are out).
Straus and Prior will be on the Padres roster come July 1st and the Padres will become the first team to employ the 3 man rotation since who knows when and will win the last 85 games straight to give them 100 wins
Strausburg 28-0 57saves (he will close when hes not starting) .91 era (gives up a run every once in a while cause hes bored) 291k's in 260 innings

If you'd said someone besides Prior was part of this I might have went along with it
