Ok I just traded Cain for Vazquez, I think his upside is alot more and was shocked I got this deal straight up. This is a daily line up change league. DO you see anything else I should do or target. I am not high on Aviles, but I got him pretty late so I figure I can live with him. I also did not draft RP until the last few rounds. Not sure if I should completely punt it of keep what I have and roll with it. Let me know if you see anything else.
My team now is:
12 team, h2h, 3 man keeper
Scoring: H, 2, 3, hr, R, RBi, BB, Ave. OBP, SB, SO, E W, L, CG, SHO, SO, BB, HR, ERA, WHIP, SV, BSV
My team: C: B Molina 1st: Teixeira, Votto, Butler 2nd: Avines (2,SS) 3rd: Wright, ARod (DL), Reynolds SS: JJ Hardy OF: Bay, Hart, Kemp, SP: Hamel, Haren, Vazquez, Harang, Slowey, Danks, Escobar RP: Motte, Devile, Bell
I think that for the most part your team looks solid, and this trade won't really make or break anything.
However, I don't think this trade helps you. Vasquez strikes out a lot of batters, but he's inconsistent and his upside is, in my opinion, much lower than Cain's. Cain has also suffered from inconsistency, but he has shown flashes of brilliance over the past couple years, and maybe this is the one where he capitalizes on his immense talent.
Either way though, you seem to be in solid position.
I wouldn't like this move if you didn't have some elite pitchers to go along with him in your staff, but you've got Hamels & Haren. I like the boost to your Ks & I think your team can handle the hit on ERA.
