Right now I have: Johan Santana (NYM - SP) Carlos Zambrano (ChC - SP) Cole Hamels (Phi - SP) James Shields (TB - SP) Mike Pelfrey (NYM - SP) David Price (TB - SP) And just made a deal for Peavy....
Would you roll Santana or one of the others for Longoria?
I currently have Figgins or Gordon at 3rd.

STAY PUT. Longoria is very overrated. Santana and Hamels are both beasts and could bolth be top starters this year! Gordon is going to have a break out season in my opinion.

For me it would depend on the type of players that will be available in that 1st round.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Longoria mashed 27 homers, drove in 85 and, not to be overlooked, stole seven bases in just about 3/4 of a season in 2008. He's just 23 and should have no where to go but up. Plus, the Rays lineup should be improved overall (added Burrell, healthier Upton), so Longoria feels like shoe-in for 30 bombs and 100 ribbies. He might even chip in double-digit thefts. If he can inch his average up a bit, you're looking at nearly a David Wright clone.
Santana is a great pitcher, but you've already got a pair in Hamels and Peavy. And Shields and Zambrano are just a notch below.
The 1st round pick is just gravy to me, but it puts this offer from "yes" to "hell yes" in my book.
