i think it's a pretty good trade. you gave up 2 good starting pitchers. i'm not sure about bedard, but i like parra's strikeout ability. wainwright doesn't usually strike out that many, so parra should be better there. getting rios is always good, as he has power and speed.

Depending on how Bedard does, you made out on this trade.

Just hope Bedard can return to his old form this year, and just hope Rios's power returns this year.

I will somewhat echo the last reply. I think you're taking a shot on Bedard returning to be the kind of dominant pitcher he was before. If he does, I REALLY Like that a lot for you

I agree. It all hinges on Bedard. Personally, I don't think that I would have risked it though.

I love the 2 pitchers that you traded away. I think they could both have huge years.

I am also somewhat confused by Rios. I have expected him to break through for about 2-3 years and he can never put together a full season. He has the talent to be great. It is a fair trade though and could go either way. But I don't think I would have done it since you had decent backup OF on your bench. Just my personal preference though.

I think you took on a lot of risk, but at least you got Rios. I agree that Rios will not be the stud everyone was waiting for, but he's solid. I wouldn't do the deal, but can see why you did.
