So I have the second pick in my draft this afternoon. All along I was told the guy with the #1 pick was going to take Pujols and I was happy with HanRam at number 2. Just got some gossip that the #1 guy was going to select HanRam so now I'm behind in my research. Pujols obviously makes sense at #2 but I'm seriously considering either Reyes or Wright. Reyes because I think he still has upside and the million steals. Wright because he helps in all categories and plays at the most thin position (3B). Anyone mind giving me their thoughts/advice on this?
Listed below is the endless sea of stat categories that my league plays. Can anyone sift through this mess and make any meaning of it as far as how it affects the three players (Wright, Pujols, Reyes) I'm considering with the #2 draft position? Thanks!!

Well, Pujols is a consensual fantasy MVP year in and out. However, Wright can ALMOST match him on the points board. That being said, I'd rather have the top option at 3b: Wright, and take a solid 1b: Berkman, Tex, Howard, Gonzalez, Morneau that are in the neighborhood in the late early rounds.

That makes sense and you verbalized exactly how I feel. Does it matter that we also have middle infield and corner infield as positions? Meaning I'm going to need a SS, 2B, and one more (either SS or 2B). I also need a 1B, 3B and one more (either 1B or 3B). Since I need a total of 6 players in the infield (not including catcher) does this change the position scarcity theory when thinking of taking Wright over Pujols? Thanks!

For what it's worth, i too draft this afternoon and have the #2 pick and i'm going with Wright because of the position scarcity, plus the stolen bases. I will get Fielder/Berkman/Morneau with pick 26 and then get a decent corner later - there are tons to be had later in the draft that can help you out: DeRosa, Pena, Huff, Votto, Jacobs - all useful guys who will help. Then again, I didn't look all that closely at your cats and I'm in a roto league so.........
