Gomez for jurrjens

Dynasty 10 Teams
I give up Jurrjens, get Gomez. I like his long term projections. I think of him as Crawford but with more steals. He was a top prospect coming up. SB threats are given a little more weight in my format (SB=3 runs=2). I don't know how much power he'll hit for, but he has Jose Reyes type upside in the OF, or am I clouding my judgement. Pitching is also weighted, however, I have a great young staff with great prospects. I can deal with the loss early on with 2SP each week because I wil have open slots when players officially go on DL.

you seem to have a great OF that will be with your for a few years, and stolen bases is more than covered for you. i would stay put, cause jurrjens has the possiblity to rise to a number two or three starter in the braves rotation

I'd do this deal. Like you said you have a formidable rotation. I have gomez on my roster aswell, i don't know if i would call him crawford with more steals as i don't tihnk he has the same power, or power potential i should say. But since SB are worth a fair amount, i'd say go for it.

I'd stay put. It looks like you have a better offense then pitching and Jair really could turn the corner this year and be a big contributor. Either way is a gamble and since neither one is an elite option I'd say go with your gut. If you make the wrong decision, it shouldn't cripple your team. I'd stay with Jair though. Good luck!

Here are the some things to consider about each player

Gomez

Plus defender near Gold Glove level, but will fight for playing time with Young, Span, andCuddyar.
His K/BB Rate was ugly 142/25, but last year was first full season so should improve.
His SB success rate was only so-so 33/44 attempts.
Could develop 15HR power.

Jurjens

His GB/FB ratio was 1.94. Kills a lot of worms
HR/9 very low at .54
His IP was very high at 219 vs. 143 year before, huge workload jump.

Your roster is already strong at both positions, but you do have some injury concerns at SP, but Jurjens could become another concern.

I think I do the deal. I do think Gomez will get between 400-500 AB, but don't count on a starter. Jurjens is a injury risk, so this could be a sell high for you, at worst its an even deal.
