-Here's what we know about Jo Jo Reyes. We know he can survive and succeed at the AAA level. He's proved that two years in a row. We know he tries to get too fine in the majors and it ends up hurting him. He's been below average now in two attempts. But perhaps most importantly we know he's 24. So he can still make it happen for Atlanta. I'm going to give him a go in his first attempt against Pittsburgh, a modest team to test the waters against. -Prediction- 5IP, 6h, 3ER, 3BB, 4k
2. Edwin Jackson DET - Road vs. SEA (Erik Bedard)
-Jackson has been picked up in some leagues so I'll understand if he's gone by the time you read this. I really think Detroit is a nice fit for him. It's roomy so it will quell homers, it's got a good offense to give him some run support, and this is not a racist remark, but it's a good place for an African=American guy to blossom. It seems like Detroit embraces its african-american stars more than any other major league city. Maybe you believe it, maybe not but I do think it will help make him feel more comfortable in his new surroundings. -Prediction- L, 6.2IP, 6h, 3ER, 2BB, 4k
If you think I'm going to try the triple with Scott Olsen, you're not crazy, I was thinking about it but I'll pass. Sunday's picks can be found on the front page.
Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Well I've been inconsistent to start the season but at least today's picks on the front page column look great.
Monday April 20th
1. Jordan Zimmerman WAS - Home vs. ATL (Derek Lowe)
-Here's one of those kids that you should try and grab if he's still available. He'll make his big-league debut tomorrow, and if you don't know anything about him he's got a really nice mid 90's fastball, and his curveball, changeup, and slider are all pro-level ready. There's nothing to really like about the Nats right now so I can't advise a debut W, but we should see him make an impact real soon.
-Prediction- L, 5.1IP, 5h, 2ER, 3BB, 4k
That's going to be it. Ohlendorf and Andrew Miller have been too inconsistent to recommend. Justin Masterson needs to be stetched out more as a starter before I can recommend him.

How about Andy Pettitte for tomorrow?? He's pitched well so far, pwned the A's last season (a team that still has a lefty-heavy line-up), and he's matched up against Sean Gallagher.

Unless he's owned in most leagues..
My guess is Pettitte's owned in way too many leagues to be consider WW material

Obviously you didn't look too hard, search again Jordan Zimmermann
Depends on your league's settings. Look and see if Matt Wieters or Gordon Beckham are available. If not, then your league is set to only have players once they have appeared in the majors. So Zimmerman won't be available until AFTER today's start.

I may be wrong but I thought all Yahoo leagues have the same player database...
By no means am I claiming to be 100% correct, but I had always thought that...

There was a change this year, so in the commissioner settings you can restrict the player pool to only players that have already appeared in games. Yahoo Sports! Genie wrote about this in the Baseball Leftovers forum.
