Okay, so now that my ERA for the week in my H2H 11x11 league is 11.83 (thank you very much Garza, Niemann and Nolasco... %-6 :-P !+) ) I am in need of a spot starter. Latos is available in my league (pitching at St Louis tomorrow) and Lohse is also available (pitching at home vs San Diego on Saturday). Do you throw Latos against the Cards and hope he has another good outing or do you hope Lohse throws another nice start against a weak SD line-up? His last two home starts have been great: 12IP, 9H, 2 ER, 2BB, 5K.

Porcello is also available but with his pending suspension, not sure if he's gonna get the start in against KC on Sunday.

I haven't done any scientific research to back this up, but if you want to roll the dice today here are a few possibly good options. No guarantees!

1. J Sanchez @ NYM - Mets are trotting out a AAA line-up, Sanchez has been mostly good recently and the k/9 as always is very high.
2. A Galarraga, vs. KC - Not an exciting guy to start, but last time he faced the Royals he k'd 7 and gave up 1 ER on 5 H through 7 IP.
3. Lannan @ Cin.

Which side of this matchup would you rather have:

Barry Zito @ CIN, or
Bronson Arroyo vs SF

Both always have the potential of blowing up, but both have also pitched well of late and both teams have anemic offenses.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Why is this thread pinned?

Also - this is one of the more useless subforums here. None of these threads gets answered. Too bad, because a couple of years ago this forum was actually useful.
