I've been working not just my day job, but on my podcast skills as well, so I haven't been around much. I'm trying to get this together, but I'll be back to this thread this week.

Ok let's get some picks down so we get back on track:

For Tuesday August 4th I like:

Ryan Rowland Smith at KC - He's shown he can go 7 innings which is a good sign against a weak offense in KC.
Tim Stauffer Home vs. ATL - owned in 25% of leagues but 3 out of 4 starts have been very good.
Yusmeiro Petit at PIT - A risky pick as he got roughed up last time by a whole different Pirates team but I really liked him in his last start.

For Wednesday August 5th I like:

Chad Gaudin Home vs. ATL - again borderline at 25% but a good source for k's
Ross Ohlendorf Home vs. ARZ - not a good source for K's but he's pitched consistently well all year and now is a good waiver guy
Rick VandenHurk at WAS - The dutchman is on a roll, I'd use him for sure.

Now we're up to date. ;-D

How about Thursday? What do you think of Livan Hernandez in Petco?

I would start Garland tomorrow. I know, his ERA seems a little poor (4.26), but let's look into it a little more:
When pitching away, he has a 2.59 ERA over 73 innings, whereas he has a 6.16 ERA over 64.1 innings pitching at home. I really like his start tomorrow at Washington. The Nationals have been hitting well lately, and it doesn't look good for Justin Upton, but I think Garland should get a QS.

I have Correia and Garland in as my 2 spot starters. I like the home pitches at Petco and I think Garlands road record is excellent. Heres hoping I get 2 quality starts as I need them in this weeks H2H matchup.
