Not well, and its only the second Never again, Barry!
Oh man. That was maybe the worst 1st inning I have ever seen. I dropped him immediately after that 1st. Incredibly, he settled down a bit and actually had some really great offspeed stuff. That ump was really squeezing him, especially against Eckstein. A perfect strike down the middle which should have been strike 3, inning over. Instead, he walks him and then gives up a hit and another run... I freaking hate David midget Eckstein and Zito.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

-It's hard to believe that a team with Pence, Berkman, C. Lee, and even Tejada could score so few runs but it appears that's the case with the Houston Astros. They were putrid in spring training and I wrote it off as being no big deal but as long as they are cold we can use all borderline starters against them. Zach Duke performed well in his first start, he should be up to the task again. -Prediction- W, 6.1IP, 6h, 2ER, 2BB, 3k
2. Jamie Moyer PHI - Road vs. WAS (Daniel Cabrera)
-I always like Moyer on the road more than at home. People put the ball in play against him a lot since he doesn't whiff many so he's got better odds at getting outs in a place where the balls don't fly out at such a high frequency. You can insert an old joke about Moyer, but the fact is he's a lot more useful than guys like Kris Benson and Sidney Ponson, and he's a good guy to use as a spot starter. -Prediction- W, 6IP, 8h, 3ER, 1BB, 2k
That's it for Monday.
Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

-Only one starter to recommend on Tuesday. Shane Loux would be a desperation pick. I like a lot what Romero did in his first start against a pretty good offense in Detroit. You might look at a 1.50 WHIP and think something is wrong but it wasn't as bad as it seems. And Minnesota is one of my favorite teams to pick on this year with their offense in general but against a lefty it's an even better pick. I really believe this could be a nice QS for Romero, pick him up for this one while you still can. -Prediction- ND, 7IP, 6h, 2ER, 2BB, 5k
